Social media is a huge part of today’s digital society. There are positive and negative aspects that come along with the accessibility to gain news and updates from social media. Specifically, a lot of ‘fake news’, disinformation and misinformation is circulated on social media platforms as there is no one fact checking or verifying the information that is circulated online. This can create confusion, the spread of false information and an overall distrust of information from social media.
