These platforms are oddities compared to platforms in other industries as they are rarely available to the public but contain important sensitive data about individuals. These platforms are regularly accessed by healthcare professionals, researchers, and organizations, but their access is often limited for safety and privacy reasons. These health platforms serve an important function in the healthcare system. They allow healthcare professionals in different fields or locations to access the medical records of their patients. These platforms allow them to avoid allergies, work around conditions and prescriptions and reduce money spent doing tests. However, these systems are imperfect and certain issues can go unnoticed because their primary users have more important concerns when using these platforms. These issues can affect how patients see these platforms and can lead to the public refusing to engage with these systems. This refusal to engage, in turn, reduces their effectiveness. In order to ensure less refusals, clearly communicating practices aids in gaining more participants and ensuring informed consent.
