The film stars Riteish Deshmukh, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sonal Sehgal and Ruslaan Mumtaz in lead roles. It was Warner Bros's third Indian movie production. The film released on 9 April 2010, received mixed reviews from critics, and was declared under average grosser at the box office.

Premise

When lonely Rajesh (Riteish Deshmukh) tries to commit suicide due to his loneliness, he stumbles onto Tara (Jacqueline Fernandez), an alien from Venus who came down to Earth to find love. Rajesh takes her to his home, and the two become friends. Rajesh is an assistant-director to Bollywood director Farah Khan, and the hero of Khan's film, Desh (Ruslaan Mumtaz) falls in love with Tara, while Rajesh gets his heart on Desh's sister Natasha (Sonal Sehgal). A new start to love begins for Tara, until she realizes she actually loves Rajesh, and Rajesh gets the same feeling back for her. The rest of the story sums up to a heart-touching romance comedy which is out of this world!

Reception

The film received mixed reviews from top critics. It holds an extremely negative aggregate rating of 4.0/10 at ReviewGang.^[1] However, it received many positive reviews as well. Taran Adarsh from Bollywood Hungama rated it 2.5/5 and added "Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai is a time-pass movie... You won’t be that disappointed with this one."^[2]

Music

The music of this film is composed by Sajid-Wajid. The soundtrack received notably mixed critical response and did well at stores as well. A review said, "They (the composer duo) are back to their usual stuff in Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai. The soundtrack has retention value have the potential to stand out.^[3]
