Contents

Psychology

Psychology is the scientific study of the mind and behaviour. The teaching and research of our 25 faculty members span the breadth of this fascinating area of study. Our undergraduate programs provide students with breadth and depth of knowledge in psychology, along with skills in writing, critical thinking, and data analysis. In most of our courses, lectures are supplemented with seminars that allow small-group discussion. Each year we award approximately 200 Bachelor of Arts degrees, divided among our Honours BA degree, our four-year BA with Major degree, or our three-year Pass BA degree. Behavioural Neuroscience

The Behavioural neuroscience graduate program at Brock University reflects the multidisciplinary nature of the neurosciences. Behavioural neuroscience integrates concepts and methods from biology, chemistry, physiology, pharmacology, and psychology in the study of the neurological underpinnings of behaviour. The basic tenet of the field is that behaviour ultimately reflects brain function and that understanding brain function helps us to understand behaviour.

Faculty[1]. At Brock, training of Social-personality graduate students emphasizes both theoretical and methodological aspects of the discipline. Our social-personality focus prepares graduate students for careers in academic, research, and applied settings. At both the MA and PhD levels, requirements are designed to give students breadth and depth of knowledge in the field. Physics

The people of this Physics Department do experimental and theoretical research, primarily in the fields of solid-state physics, materials science, biophysics and theoretical physics. We are dedicated to high-quality teaching, at both undergraduate and graduate level (we offer B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees). Our small-size classes, hands-on laboratories, and individual student undergraduate research projects provide our graduates with excellent problem-solving skills.
