Catching the Open eText Wave - Panel

From OUCEL Wiki

The provincial government has been investing in Open Content Development, most recently with a RFP for Open Content including a new category for eTexts. At the 2016 OUCeL summer institute we heard about new developments and infrastructure being rolled out through BCCampus initiatives. As this wave is now gathering speed in Ontario, we are inviting panelists to share their perspectives on how to navigate the waters:

  • Engaging stakeholders - Laurie Harrison, UofT
  • Faculty project experience - Giulia Forsythe using Scalar at Brock University for Planetary Science and History
  • New platforms - Kelly Smyth, VP Business Development for Texidium

We will welcome insights from the group regarding challenges and opportunities in this domain.
