Older Adults: Recommended Baccalaureate Competencies and Curricular Guidelines for Geriatric Nursing Care is a set of 30 core competencies for graduates of U.S. baccalaureate nursing education, developed by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN, 2000). According to the AACN website, the purpose of the document "is to help nurse educators to incorporate specific geriatric nursing content into baccalaureate nursing curriculum". GNEC Curriculumn Survey and Content Mapping Tool: Recommended Competencies for Geriatric Nursing Care.
