Although we don't have concrete plans in place to move to a different lms when our current lms licence expires we will be exploring other platforms throughout the upcoming year. Systems we will be investigating are: Angel, ThinkingCap, Blackboard NG and open source platforms. As of Spring 2010 we are offering a few courses on Moodle as an alternative to WebCT.

Have some concerns about maintenance of the Vista/CE product lines with the upcoming release of Blackboard's Next Generation product. Many bugs and enhancement requests are being targeted for NG, unfortunately NG is missing a good deal of the functionality that we use in Vista. Said functionality is apparently coming in a later release of NG - but until that point we are left with bugs and enhancement requests that are targeted for a release that we cannot use.
