Jake Gold (born April 4, 1958 in New Jersey) is an American-born Canadian musician manager. Gold grew up in Toronto, where he sang in Top 40 bands in his teens. From 1979 to 1981, he lived in Los Angeles, doing lighting design for the Variety Arts Centre. After receiving a call from a friend, he returned to Toronto to become a tour manager and lighting guy for Hot Tip. This started his successful career as a music manager and Canadian music industry promoter.[1]

Gold is probably most well known to Canadians as a judge on the popular Canadian Idol television program. In addition to Idol participants, he has managed such popular Canadian artists as The Tragically Hip and The Watchmen. His management company, The Management Trust, currently works with a number of artists including The Cliks and Sass Jordan. He is married to Leesa Butler, creator of the F-List, a web site dedicated to Canadian fashion.
