Add Google Calendar

If you have a Google Calendar account and shared calendars within it you can integrate that calendar in Sakai via A live updating feed from Google

Make sure first that your calendar is shared: Inside your Google Calendar in the "My Calendar" area from the drop box/down arrow choose "Share this calendar" then make sure the above is set

  1. Log into your Google Calendar at http://www.google.com/calendar
  2. Select the down arrow from your calendar on the left and choose "Calendar Settings"

  3. Assuming your calendar is already shared (see insert) in the "Calendar Address" area click the "HTML" icon and copy that link.
    • You can optionally the "configuration tool" and copy the contents of the code created's src property
  4. In the relevant Sakai course or project site, click Site Setup'.
  5. Click Edit Tools.
  6. Check the box next to Web Content. Click Continue.
  7. On the "Customize Tools" screen you will see fields where you can enter information for a new item, as follows:
    • In the Title: field, add a title (ie. My Google Calendar).
    • In the URL: field insert the URL you copied from Google Calendar
    • Click Continue.

You should now see the title of your calendar on the left menu and if you select your should see your Google Calendar
