Wilfrid Laurier UniversitySandy Hughes, Mary ScottYesYes (Desire2Learn) – users can also access the Turnitin site and functionality directly.Up until now the Office of Teaching Support Services has provided all the support to faculty, and has been the ones to contact the Turnitin Helpdesk with anything that couldn't solve. Now the license allows individual users to access the Turnitin Helpdesk directly. This has not been announced to the users, and so the Office of Teaching Support Services will probably continue to be the first line of support who may use this more in future. There is a dedicated 'Turnitin Support' account (with instructor role access) in Desire2Learn which is added to a course where help from Turnitin is needed. The Office provides the login and password, and login location to Turnitin when this is necessary.Note: No answer for this one, as they don't believe there is any turnitin-related information which relates to FIPPA for them
Ryerson UniversityRestiani Andriati, Donna BellYesYes (Blackboard 9.0)User reports to the Ryerson Helpdesk. Depending on the nature of the problem, it may be forwarded to the Ryerson Bb specialist team (DMP) for resolution. If Ryerson’s Bb specialists’ team cannot resolve it, it will be forwarded to Turnitin Helpdesk. Some trouble-shooting requires Turnitin tech support access to the course in Ryerson LMS. It has never been granted, still awaiting for the Confidentiality Agreement between Ryerson and Turnitin to be agreed upon.Work in progress
