11:15 - 11:45 am: Birds of a Feather - Round-table discussions, burning issues, emerging topics

11:45 - 12:00 pm: Wrap up, discussion of next year’s event. To wrap up, we will summarize key ideas discussed over the past few days, and look ahead to next year’s summer institute: Location, Timing, Hosts and Participants

12:00 - 1:00 pm: Lunch (boxed lunch if you have to run).

BIOS:

Tony Bates is President and CEO of Tony Bates Associates Ltd., a private company specializing in consultancy and training in the planning and management of e-Learning and distance education. He is also distinguished Visiting Professor in the G. Raymond Chang School of Continuing Education, Ryerson University, Toronto.


Michael Geist is a Canadian Academic, and the Canadian Research Chair in the Internet and E-Commerce Law at the University of Ottawa. He is a member of the Centre for Law, Technology and Society.


Chuck Hamilton is Strategy Manager at Riipen.


Howard Knopf practises mainly in the areas of copyright, trade-marks, cyberlaw, and related issues. He is the Chairman of the Copyright Policy Committee of the Canadian Bar Association and was recently advisor to the Law Commission of Canada on security interests in intellectual property.


Virginia Lacefield Executive Director, Enterprise Applications.


Emily Masching is the Academiic Relationshiip Manager at Riipen


Patrick Milot is Graduate Curriculum Development Specialist, Teaching and Learning Support Service, University of Ottawa.


Lena Patterson is Operations Director at eCampusOntario.

SUGGESTION:

Underground parking…. While you are able to park in the building where we will be meeting – I suggest you park at the Brooks location and walk over to the Desmarais Building a few blocks away, or any other parking lots on campus if you prefer.

For those staying in Residence who have driven: You can park anywhere available on campus. There is no privilege parking for staying in Residence
