University of TorontoLinda Murphy-BoyerBlackBoard7.2Sep-09approx 5000SatisfiedUnlikelyAfter much debate and kerfuffle we have now achieved acceptance from most of our instructors. In addition we have spent much time and many resources developing training materials and custom building block modules for grouping blogging and grafting courses. That said in my opinion it would be very unlikely that we would choose another system when our licence comes due next year.
University of WaterlooJane HolbrookAngel7.2WindowsOracle20102400SatisfiedUnsureWe are currently reviewing our complete Online Learning Environment. This is in preparation for making our decision regarding our LMS renewal in 2010 and also to review other learning technologies that are used separately from the current LMS.

University of WaterlooAndrea ChappellAngel7.2WindowsSQLMay-102400SatisfiedUnsureWe are currently in the midst of a review of the online learning environment needs of the University of Waterloo. This review has been initiated primarily as a matter of good practice in anticipation of the expiration of our Angel license in May 2010 as opposed to being prompted by a dissatisfaction with our current product. While we are generally satisfied with our current product, there are areas of concern; we also need to gauge the broader user community's opinion, and review other options.
Wilfrid Laurier UniversitySandy HughesWebCT 66.1.2 (moving to 6.2.3)WindowsOracle31-Aug-081500DissatisfiedUnlikelyWe are just renewing our license for two years until August 31 2010. In Fall 08 we will begin a full LMS review therefore the license will allow one year for the review and one year for migration should we move to a new product. If we need additional time for a migration we will contract with WebCT on an annual basis.

University of Western OntarioJeff LonglandWebCT Vista4.2.3 but soon 8.0.1Linux application tier Solaris database Oracle2500SatisfiedUnsureHave some concerns about maintenance of the Vista/CE product lines with the upcoming release of Blackboard's Next Generation product. Many bugs and enhancement requests are being targeted for NG, unfortunately NG is missing a good deal of the functionality that we use in Vista. Said functionality is apparently coming in a later release of NG - but until that point we are left with bugs and enhancement requests that are targeted for a release that we cannot use.
