Linda Murphy-Boyer: The group talked about the Net generation and myths about it; there was a report from Australia which argues that students do not know how to use different tools in educational settings even though they use them in social settings;

-There is no digital divide in terms of age;

-Students do not always want professors to visit social media;

-There are overlaps – some instructors use Twitter for teaching very successfully

-It is always about how you use a tool;

Brian Campbell: It is true that today’s university students are different; but it is also something else – today we have shift to mass higher education, and that’s a problem.
