University Status
The Ontario College of Art & Design is now OCAD University. Although OCADU has been degree granting since 2004 offering BFA and BDes 4-year degrees, OCADU now has full University status.
New Research Activities
OCAD now is home to the Inclusive Design Institute lead by Jutta Treviranus. The research group supports many projects, two of which are UI development for Sakai and also development of a LMS called ATutor.
LMS: My Courses
- Further development of in-house LMS
- Fully Integrated Gradebook
- Expansion of second largest proprietary image database in Canada. We have added the ability to publish to Flash video as well as iTunesU.
- Adding Student Advising Module (2010) which will allow academic advisors to capture information, refer students and share this back with students.
- With addition of the IDI, we're looking to collaborations with them on existing or future projects.
