Dates: August 12-14, 2015

List of 2015 Participants

Getting here

Flights Windsor is serviced well by public transport (air and rail). Our international airport is very efficient and is serviced by Porter, Air Canada, and WestJet Airlines. Both Porter and Air Canada generally offer a 10% discount for CAUBO members (check your institutional travel policy for details). Both Porter and Air Canada fly several times a day to Windsor from Toronto (a 40min flight), and prices start at around $170 each way from Ottawa, or $104 each way from Toronto.

Train Via Rail also runs services to Windsor from Toronto and surrounds four times daily and prices are currently around $46 one way for Escape fares, or $79 for business class (highly recommended!) Via also offers 10% discount to CAUBO members. The train takes approximately 4hrs from Toronto.

Driving Windsor is a pleasant 4-5 hr drive down the 401 from Toronto area. The University is right next to the Ambassador bridge, so you can take the 401 almost all the way to the University.

Registration and Accommodation Information

Online Registration and Payment Form The online registration payment form is not currently directly linked to the Registration Form Completing the form will trigger an invoice to be sent to you for online payment.

In keeping with tradition, we have tried to keep the cost down as much as possible and maintained registration at $200 for 2015.

If you have any trouble with the form, or do not receive your invoice within 24 hrs, please contact Alicia Higgison be email: [email protected] or phone: 519 253 3000 ext. 2008.

Accommodation A variety of accommodations are available close to the University. Accommodation is available on campus at Canterbury College. Please use the online booking form at: http://web4.uwindsor.ca/units/canterbury/forms.nsf/ConferenceStays?OpenForm

All rooms on campus are singles with shared washroom and kitchenette facilities (see http://www1.uwindsor.ca/canterbury/room-overview for more information). There is a minimum 3 night stay during the summer with a cost of $200 for up to 3 nights. Rooms are limited, so please book early.

For more information, please call Brenda Smith on: (519) 253 – 3000 Ext. 4948 Or email: [email protected]

In addition, there are a number of hotels close to the University. We recommend the ones on the waterfront, including the Waterfront Hotel, Windsor Riverside Inn (both of which offer university rates – just ask when you book), and Caesar’s Windsor.

Along Huron Church Road (the 401) east of the University, there are also a Holiday Inn and Suites, and a Hampton Inn and Suites, with both being approximately 2km from the University.

Parking

Parking on campus is $10 per day in the parking garage. Parking is also available at Canterbury College and is FREE if you are staying there. You can register for Canterbury parking online at: https://goo.gl/McbAUo
