Web Conferencing / Collaboration
- Implemented Octopz collaboration software for students in laptop program, and all faculty
- Will be implementing Acrobat Connect Pro for Admin and Academic Admin, Oct 2008
Video Conferencing
- Installed, configured H.323 high-def video conferencing / Access Grid facility
- Delivered two distance courses up to Dawson City, Yukon via video conferencing. Local prof, remote class. Pocasted lectures simultaneously.
- Participated in VROC, ABEL other video conferencing initiatives
Web 2.0
- Pilot project for Blogging with implementation of Wordpress MU for curriculum
- Pilot project for using MediaWiki for curriculum
- Purchase of institutional Second Life island for student curriculum and art projects
