WebCT Accessibility

From WebCT Wiki

WebCT meets the accessibility requirements of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Priority 1 guidelines and some of Priority 2 and Priority 3 guidelines. WebCT also meets the more technical/practical standards of Section 508 of the Americans with Disabilities Act. WebCT works well for accessibility purposes, however, it does make use of frames which can inhibit non-visual navigation.

The only potential for poor accessibility in WebCT is content added by the instructor. This is one of the reasons we recommend non-encrypted PDF documents be used in place of all other formats.

More information about WebCT and accessibility can be found on WebCT Inc.'s web site and their WebCT FAQ.
