[edit] About Respondus

Respondus is a program designed to enhance your ability to create a WebCT test. The program does not offer any additional features, rather it repackages the previously tedious and cumbersome process of creating a WebCT quiz or test and allows you to work through a Windows based program, rather than over the web.

If you would like to attempt to create a quiz or manage a current quiz you can download Brock's campus edition of Respondus from within WebCT. All relevant registration information can also be found in that section. If you do not have the Respondus 'class' on your myWebCT page please contact webct at brocku dot ca.

Respondus offers a rather comprehensive set of support documents and FAQs which can be found via their web site at www.respondus.com.

[edit] Another option

As an alternative, you can create multiple questions in a text file, in a predefined format, and then import the file to WebCT.

Notes:

   * Be careful not to introduce extra spaces.
   * Observe the case sensitivity of the field names.

General format conventions:

   * All lines beginning with a colon signify a field name.
   * Each question must begin with the type declaration line :TYPE:{MC|S|P|M|C}.
   * Questions may include a :TITLE: to specify the title of the question.
   * There must be a  specified.
   * Lines beginning with a # are comments for your own information.
