Flash is installed on almost all computers and as such the presentation can be played without extra software or any security warnings.

NeoOffice is a full-featured set of office applications for Mac OS X Based on the OpenOffice.org office suite that is free. [NeoOffice] can open PowerPoint files and has a built-in export to Flash/SWF tool.

Download and install Neo Office from http://www.neooffice.org
Launch NeoOffice.
From the "File" menu choose "Open" and locate your PowerPoint File (or create a new one).
Choose the "Macromedia Flash (SWF) (.swf)" format
Once the slideshow opens from the menu choose "File" choose "Export".
In the Export/Save dialogue choose the location and change the "File Format" to "Macromedia Flash (SWF) (.swf)" and press "Save".
The resulting SWF can be added to WebCT as a regular file.

Go to http://www.zamzar.com/

Browse for and upload your file
Chose SWF as the choose the format to convert to
Enter your E-Mail address
Click "Convert"

The link to the file should be E-Mail to you shortly, you can download it and add it to WebCT like any other file.

Apple Keynote is the 3D presentation software that began as a software program for Apple CEO Steve Jobs to use in creating the presentations for Macworld Conference and other Apple keynote events. The latest version of Keynote includes the ability to record a presentation with your own timing and voice.

Keynote (http://www.apple.com/iwork/keynote) comes with the iWork package (which includes "Pages" and now "Numbers" -- http://www.apple.com/iwork)

Launch Keynote.
From the "File" menu choose "Open" and locate your PowerPoint File (or create a new one).
Once the slideshow opens from the menu choose "File" choose "Export".
In the Export dialogue choose Flash SWF tab and choose "Next".
Choose where you would like to save the SWF file.
The resulting SWF can be added to WebCT as a regular file.

[edit] Uploading Your Documents

To upload your file to WebCT you will have to log in to WebCT (https://webct.brocku.ca ) and enter into your course. While in the "Build" tab you can add your PDF file on the Course Content Home or go inside a Folder to save it inside that Folder. You can create a folder to oranize all of your similar files by clicking "Create Folder".

Get Files

On the Course Content Home click on the "Get Files" button. Select "Browse for Files" from the drop-down context menu.

My Computer Icon is Loading, Please be patient

A pop-up dialog box will open
Wait until the My Computer icon appears. If after 90 seconds, it does not appear you may need to update your Java or do some of the trouble shooting described in the My_Computer_Applet article.
Once the My Computer icon appears, click on it to choose files from your computer
Locate the file from the location you saved it on your hard drive (You can use the Shift or Ctrl keys to select up to 10 files to upload at once).
Click Open
An upload file status window will let you know how your upload is progressing. Depending on the speed of your connection and the size of your file(s), this may take a while.

When the upload status window is removed your PowerPoint should now be in WebCT and accessible by students. You might want to confirm this by entering the "Student View" tab.
