The Media Library is a tool for sharing multi-media content that offers a few more features than the Course Content Home. These include thumbnails of images and descriptive icons for video and audio files, as well as the ability to allow students to contribute to collections. Media library entries can also be referenced from other parts of WebCT courses.

[edit] Creating a Media Library Collection

When adding to the "Media Library" the first step is creating a collection. In the "Build", inside the media library tool (if it's not added yet see WebCT Tools) select "Create Collection" and give the collection a title and optional description. You can also choose at this point to allow students to add to the library.

You will then return to the list of collections and you can click your new collection to begin adding to it.

Making sure you are in the "Build" tab, enter the collection you would like to add to select "Create Entry". The entry will need a title and optionally a description. Lastly find the file you would like to add by "Browse"-ing for it and then "Save" the entry.
