Mail: Using
From WebCT Wiki
[edit] Checking For New Mail
When you first log in to WebCT you should see a list of courses and a envelope beneath each course with new E-Mail in it. Once you enter the course the Mail tool on the left should have a small green star.
New mail in the inbox will be marked with an envelop in beside the title that will be in bold. Because of the nature of web pages, you might need click 'Refresh Now' to update the read status of each message.
[edit] Mail Boxes
WebCT's mail tool functions like most other web mail or E-Mail tools in that there is an inbox where new mail is stored, an outbox where your sent mail is kept, and a box called drafts to hold messages you are currently working on. Clicking on the title of each box reveals its contents.
[edit] Composing Mail
First click the "Mail" tool on the menu on the left.
To compose a new message press the button 'Compose message'.
Press the "Browse for Recipients" button to search through a full list of individuals in the course or groups. To select a recipient check the box beside their name - check the "To" box on the right to directly address someone, the "CC" to copy someone on a message and "BCC" on the right to copy recipient without them knowing who else the message was sent to. When you have selected all of your recipients press save at the bottom of the window.
Be sure to add a subject to the message.
Files can also be attached by pressing 'Add Attachment' and finding the file on your/my computer. These files are not scanned for viruses.
When you have finished composing your message you should preview it or perhaps save it as a draft to be edited and sent later. Once the message is ready you can press the 'Send' button to send the message to the recipient(s).
