The Group Manager is a great tool for creating smaller communities within your WebCT course. These can be large groups, like seminars or small ones for group Assignments you may want to set up.

You can access the Group Manager from the Teach Tab under Instructor Tools.

There are 3 types of Groups, depending if you want to allow students to sign up to their own groups (Sign-up sheets), you want to assign students to groups, or if you want to create empty groups and assign students later.

Once you have Groups set up, you can use these groups to use the Selective Release tool to customize content for each specific group. This can be done via Discussions:Groups, selective documents, Assignments, Web Links, and more.

You can even use the Mail tool to mail each group.
