[edit] Changing and Reviewing Activation & De-Activation dates

Previously at Brock University the WebCT Management Facility was used to both initially set activation dates and inactive dates. With the arrival of WebCT CE6 this feature has been integrated directly into WebCT and as such can now be managed from within it.

[edit] Changing Activation and De-Activation dates

The primary course instructor/designer can make these changes, if you do not have the following options in your login please contact webct@brocku.ca to request this be done for you.

• Login to WebCT
• Click on the "Administration" tab
• Find and click on the title of the course you would like in the column on the left
• Then, in the main area, click the chevron V beside the course section you would like to change the dates on and select from the menu "Edit Properties"
• A new page should load, half way down this page is a "Dates" section.
  • The start date and time constitute the Activation Date
  • The end date and time constitute the Inactive Date

• You can modify these dates by clicking on the respective calender and clock icons.
• You will probably want to leave "Before the start date" and "After the end date" checked.
• When you are done press save at the bottom of the page.
