The WebCT Announcements tool allows instructors to send a one-way message to specific roles (ie. Students, TAs) in the course via WebCT.

[edit] Check-List for new Announcements

1. Enter the Announcements tool
2. Press "Create Announcement"
   

   

   Creation an announcement
3. Add a "Title" (ie. "Important Announcement")
4. Add a "Message:" (click "Enable HTML Creator" to add formatting, colour, images, etc)
5. Recipients - You must select a recipient! In most cases, check "Select All Roles". Please note that WebCT will accept an announcement with no recipients selected and simply deliver it to no one.
6. You can optionally configure the delivery dates and if the message should be sent as a pop-up aswell
7. Press "Send"
