Brock University's Sakai-based Learning Management System (LMS) is located at https://lms.brocku.ca . Named Isaak, this new system is built upon the community-based LMS: Sakai. Brock University has invested a lot of time, money and effort into ensuring this system is reliable, scalable, and has sufficient capacity.

Sakai/Isaak Updates and Announcements
Brock University instructors using Isaak, Brock University's Sakai-Based LMS as part of their innovative pedagogy have the opportunity to apply for the 5th Annual Teaching With Sakai Innovation Award (TWSIA). The award recognizes innovation and excellence in technology-supported teaching, academic collaboration, and student engagement using Sakai. Since the first call for submissions in 2008, educators from institutions around the world have submitted their entries in the annual competition.
The closing date for entries is March 2, 2012. Winners will be notified May 1, 2012 and may have their expenses paid to Atlanta, Georgia to present their winning entries at the Jasig/Sakai Annual Conference - June 10th-15th -- 1st Joint Jasig/Sakai Annual Conference.
Award categories that apply to Brock University include: “Higher Education: Face-to-face,” “Higher Education: Fully Online or Hybrid Course,” and “Project Sites & Other Uses of Sakai.”
Entries are now being accepted on the Open Ed Practices site www.openedpractices.org/twsia, which provides information for applicants on how to enter the competition, including a description of the award categories, and the rubrics and definition of innovation, which are used to judge entries.
